Because the vegetation across the state varies tremendously, we will develop individual vegetation maps within ecoregions. While many sections and subsections of ecoregions are shown on this slide, we have grouped them into 6 distinct areas: Tidewater, Coastal Flatwoods, Coastal Plain, Sandhills, Piedmont and Blue Ridge.
